We are less than two weeks away from finding out if the New York Knicks made the right move with a huge offseason acquisition.
When the Knicks landed Jalen Brunson from the Dallas Mavericks, there were many who believed he’d be the next big thing for New York and the future of the franchise.
Others were thinking he was being overpaid and might not live up to expectations.

The team is obviously still all-in on the idea of Brunson and posted a picture of him on social media hours before they play against the Indiana Pacers in another preseason game.
Brunson has shown signs that he is going to be productive for the team in the new year.
But will he be exactly what the Knicks were missing?
Brunson’s Debut
The Knicks played against the Detroit Pistons in a preseason game on Tuesday and Brunson was a big part of their victory.
He put up 16 points and 5 assists in 20 minutes on the court.
Those are impressive numbers but Brunson’s performance was about more than his stat line.
He was playing well with other guys on the court, reading his teammates expertly, and making plays that were smart and fast.
This is exactly what the team wanted from Brunson when they signed him.
Now, will this hold up when the regular season starts in a couple of weeks?
Preseason victories are one thing but being able to battle it out against a team during the real season is something else entirely.
The intensity and pressure of the games will only increase come October 18.
It will be time for Brunson to really show all that he is made of – and all that he is worth.
