At the height of his career, Derrick Rose of the New York Knicks was scoring 25 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.7 assists a game while he was with the Chicago Bulls.
Last season, he was putting up 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
He only played in 26 games and started for just 4 of them.
Obviously, a lot of time has passed since the early days of Rose when he was the best player on his team and winning Rookie of the Year and MVP.

But Rose is still doing work and he is still an important part of his team, even if he isn’t playing as much and scoring many points.
He is about to enter year 15 in the league and it will be a pivotal one for the Knicks.
His nights of 25+ points are behind him but Rose could help this Knicks team rebuild itself.
The Blooming Of Rose
Rose was one of the best point guards in the league for quite some time and he was a sight to see.
Watching him play during his heyday was a thing of beauty but, sadly, injuries and time slowed Rose down and minimized his output.
He’s actually in better shape than he has been in years and claims he has gotten his weight back down to the same place it was when entered the league in 2008.
Rose will help the Knicks by spreading knowledge and using his high basketball IQ and expertise to get the team in playoff form.
Rose will obviously be coming off the bench, which is best for him at this age.
However, perhaps his biggest contributions will not be balls in buckets but the wisdom he gives.
