Fans of the Boston Celtics and especially fans of Jaylen Brown can finally rest easy.
After some ambiguity, the future of the team is much clearer today.
Since Kevin Durant has officially decided to stick around with the Brooklyn Nets, the Celtics are no longer on the hunt for the superstar.
Therefore, they are not willing to trade away their talented players, such as Brown.

Amina Smith spoke for many Celtics fans when she said, “Also glad we don’t have to talk about Jaylen Brown being traded anymore. Goodness gracious.”
For the last few weeks, people have been having to grapple with the idea of Brown possibly moving to Brooklyn in exchange for Durant.
That possibility is now gone and Brown can remain a vital part of his promising squad.
Brown Back To Boston
When it was leaked that the Celtics were willing to part with Brown as a way to acquire Durant, some fans were downright furious.
Brown was a crucial part of the Celtics and helped lead them to the Finals.
He’s not as important as Jayson Tatum, the team’s MVP, but he was definitely Brown’s number two guy, his reliable right-hand man.
People didn’t understand why Boston would give him up, even for someone as valuable as Durant.
Now the question is if this entire debacle will affect the team’s chemistry.
One of Boston’s super powers was its culture and closeness, it really felt like a brotherhood.
Will that be the case in the new season, with Brown and others knowing they were seen as expendable to the front office?
If Brown is able to push through any disgruntled feelings, the Celtics could certainly be one of the best teams in the league yet again.
