The Los Angeles Dodgers may not have clinched the National League West just yet, but they did ultimately secure their spot in the postseason for the 10th consecutive season.
With their 11-2 blowout victory over the San Diego Padres at Petco Park on Sunday, the Dodgers assured themselves of at least the third Wild Card spot in the National League.
The NL West crown is not far out of reach for the 96-43 Dodgers.
But for now, clinching a spot in the postseason will do just fine.
Their magic number to clinch the West sits at just 3, as they now lead the Padres by a full 20 games.

Dodgers Back In Postseason
The Dodgers are on an impressive run right now.
Not only are they on pace to shatter the 100-wins mark, but they have now reached the postseason for the 10th consecutive season, winning the NL West in eight of them thus far, though that is soon to change with them being so close to clinching the division.
Every year since 2013, the Dodgers have found themselves in the big dance.
They’ve reached the NLCS in all but three of those seasons.
Last season, they were a Wild Card entry, finishing just one game back of the San Francisco Giants but still reaching the NLCS, where their bid to repeat as World Series champions was stopped by the Atlanta Braves.
But once again, these Dodgers are a serious threat to win a World Series title.
Reaching the postseason 10 straight years is quite an accomplishment, but it’s only their first in what has been a very successful season so far.
Soon, the Dodgers will have wrapped up the race for the NL West and will have their sights set on bringing home another ring.
