Even if they go home empty-handed this season, the Buffalo Bills have already won the ultimate prize.
Damar Hamlin is back home after fighting for his life and collapsing on the field during their regular-season game with the Cincinnati Bengals, a game that had to be canceled.
Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest early in the first quarter after a hit with Tee Higgins, and the gruesome image got the whole stadium together in prayers for his recovery.
And while he won’t be on the field with his teammates when they take on the Bengals again — this time in the AFC Divisional Round game, Bills players will still carry a little piece of him with them.
Apparently, the Bills will honor their brother by wearing No. 3 pendants in what’s expected to be one of the most exciting games of the whole season.

Hamlin recently visited the team facility and is reportedly in good spirits.
However, he’s still far from safe, and it’ll take a very long while before he’s back on the gridiron, assuming he wants to continue his career.
As of now, the Pittsburgh native still requires oxygen and is having his heart monitored on a regular basis, so he’s obviously not participating in team meetings, regardless of how much he wants to be there.
Even so, it’s nice to know that his teammates have come together to root for him and wish him a speedy recovery.
They didn’t need the extra motivation, but this time, it means more for Buffalo.
