Over the past several days, the Los Angeles Angels have been dealt a few significant blows.
On Monday, Mike Trout suffered a broken hamate bone in his right wrist while taking a swing in a game against the San Diego Padres.
The veteran outfielder and three-time MVP will be out 6-8 weeks.
But that wasn’t the end of the Halos’ misfortunes.
On Tuesday, Shohei Ohtani left his start with a blister on his finger, which will cost him the chance to start the All-Star Game in Seattle.
To make matters worse, Anthony Rendon left the clubhouse on crutches with a bruised shin.
On Twitter, Bob Nightengale of USA Today summed up everything that has gone wrong for the Halos.
So in less than 24 hours for the #Angels:
Mike Trout breaks his hamate bone and is out 6-8 weeks.
Shohei Ohtani leaves the game with a blister and won’t pitch in the All-Star Game.

After a nightmare season in 2022, the Angels have bounced back into contention.
They own a 45-43 record and sit just four games back of the final Wild Card spot in the American League.
But they have been dealt a bad hand this week with all of their injuries.
Trout is already on the injured list, and Ohtani and Rendon will likely follow as the Angels continue their series with the Padres.
The Angels are seven games back of first place in the AL West behind the Texas Rangers.
But they could potentially slip in the standings with Trout, Ohtani, and Rendon all on the injured list.
They have lost seven of their last 10 games and have dropped the first two games of their set with the Padres.
They’ll look to avoid being swept on Wednesday.
