The Houston Texans have received some much-needed good news.
Star wide receiver Nico Collins has been designated for a return to practice.
After losing two of their past three games, along with All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs to a torn ACL, the news could not come at a better time as they try to hold their lead in the AFC South.

Before Collins went down with his hamstring injury, he was on pace for an exceptional season.
In five games played, he had 32 catches for 567 yards and three touchdowns.
Last season, he had his coming out party as he recorded 80 receptions for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns.
The Texans offense could use all the help it can get right now.
They are coming off a loss to the New York Jets when they put up just 13 points.
Despite being 6-3, Houston has won just one game by more than one possession.
Getting Collins back in the lineup would be a very big deal.
Coming off a “Thursday Night Football” game, the Texans will host an elite Detroit Lions team on “Sunday Night Football.”
If Collins ends up being able to play in prime time, the Texans might be able to give the Lions a run for their money.
