For most of their history, the Detroit Lions were a bottom-feeding team.
That was also the case when Dan Campbell took the reins of the team.
He became emotional after the losses, and the mockery soon turned into recognition.
As a former player, Campbell coached like most players would’ve coached.
He was aggressive, never took his foot off the gas, and never stopped pushing.
The Lions are a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but Campbell hasn’t changed his mentality.
That’s why NFL analyst Tedy Bruschi believes it’s time he takes a different approach.
Talking on ESPN, the renowned analyst claimed that Campbell needed to adjust and adapt and understand that he’s a top dog, so he needs to coach as such:
“There’s no more ankles and knee caps to bite. You’re on top. Start playing like it and start coaching like it,” he said.

The Lions were uber-aggressive in their win over the Green Bay Packers, and their determination to repeatedly go for it on fourth down is as bold and remarkable as it might be concerning.
Although it continues to work, we also saw it fail last year in the playoffs.
The Lions were up big against the San Francisco 49ers, and Campbell’s aggressiveness left the door wide open for them to take them down in the second half.
There’s nothing wrong with being aggressive, but it’s all about picking your spots.
Campbell hasn’t been a coach for that long, so he’ll make mistakes; even veterans do.
The thing about mistakes, though, is that one has to learn from them.
