Throughout their history, Detroit Lions fans have gone through a lot.
The Lions have historically been one of the worst teams in the league.
That’s why, now that they’re finally on top of the world, it only makes sense that some fans have become more passionate.
That was the case with a lifelong season-ticket holder in their primetime win over the Green Bay Packers.
A fan went viral for yelling at Matt LaFleur in pregame, and WXYZ sat down with him to get his side of the story.
He enjoys talking a little smack to opposing teams and players, but Packers coach Matt LaFleur wasn’t having it.
LaFleur reportedly tried to de-escalate the situation after he got a little too chirpy, but to no avail.
The Packers coach also snapped, and the fan was asked to leave the game.
I sat down with the man who has now gone mega viral after he had some choice words exchanged with #GreenBay Packers Head Coach Matt #LaFleur. He says he's the biggest #Lions fan anyone will ever meet and was shocked how everything went down. Check it out >>> @wxyzdetroit pic.twitter.com/7e3fzWw1Gl

The fan seemed completely unbothered and unapologetic about that, though.
As much as he claimed he didn’t want to feel like he had embarrassed the team or the fan base, he only cared about his beloved Lions winning the game.
Football, like all sports, is about passion, and not everybody handles that well.
The fan needs to be careful, though, as even though his team is one of the best in the league right now, they might not be at the top forever.
