With NBA training camps set to get underway in a few weeks, the clock is ticking for the Portland Trail Blazers to find the right trade package in exchange for superstar guard Damian Lillard.
Even though Lillard has been adamant about his desire to join forces with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo to play for the Miami Heat, Portland hasn’t liked the trade packages being offered by Miami, with the consensus being that one or two more teams would have to get involved to make it happen.
Although all signs point to Lillard ultimately landing in South Beach, other teams are bound to show interest in the coming weeks, with the Chicago Bulls potentially being one of those teams.
According to Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports, the Bulls could get involved in the Lillard sweepstakes by using star forward Zach LaVine as part of the deal, via NBA Retweet.

After going all-in with players like LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, and Lonzo Ball, the Bulls were thought to be a force to be reckoned with on an annual basis in the Eastern Conference.
Despite some success at the beginning for this new-look squad, Chicago has failed to live up to expectations time and time again, leading to constant trade rumors swirling around the franchise.
That said, the Bulls getting involved in the Lillard trade wouldn’t be all that surprising, even if the team doesn’t end up being the one to land the superstar guard but still gets something substantial in return ahead of next season.
