As they have often done over the last few years, the Miami Heat have put themselves in position to upset a more talented team in the NBA playoffs.
This time, they did so by overcoming a sizable deficit to take Game 2 of the NBA Finals over the Denver Nuggets, 111-108, to tie the series at one win apiece.
A big reason why is the play of Gabe Vincent, who has been red-hot from 3-point range lately.
In fact, per StatMuse, in the first two games of the Finals, he has made more 3-pointers than Nikola Jokic, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Michael Porter Jr. — combined.

Vincent is one of several undrafted Heat players who have managed to thrive despite not being heavily regarded coming into the league.
He was a nice player in college at the University of California, Santa Barbara, but in four pro seasons, he has never been an efficient shooter during the regular season.
But so far in these playoffs, he is hitting an excellent 41.3 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.
He went 5-of-10 from that distance in Game 1 and followed it up with a 4-of-6 performance from downtown in Game 2 on Sunday.
Miami shot poorly from distance in their Game 1 loss, which was a big reason they scored just 93 points in that contest, but they turned it up on Sunday, connecting on 48.6 percent of their treys.
Now that they have snatched home-court advantage from the Nuggets, who were the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, the Heat seem to have a real shot at winning their fourth world championship.
