The Phoenix Suns did it again on Tuesday night.
They put the Dallas Mavericks away in a huge way, securing a 110-80 victory and taking a pivotal 3-2 lead in this series.
That means they are only one game away from returning to the Western Conference Finals and are so close they can taste it.
For the first half of the game, the Mavericks seemed to be competitive and a win wasn’t assured.
Then the Suns did what they do and changed everything.

The Suns outscored the Mavs 33-14 in the third quarter and, after that, there was no looking back.
This continued a pattern for the Suns: they are currently 53-0 when leading after three quarters this season.
They were certainly leading in a big, big way when the third quarter ended on Wednesday night.
Is this series as good as done?
Outmoving The Mavs
Anyone watching the Suns-Mavericks game on Tuesday would have seen a tough matchup between two talented teams.
Well, until the third quarter.
Head coach Monty Williams must have given one heck of a pep talk during halftime because the Suns came out swinging in the second half.
It felt like all of their shots were landing and their defense was suffocating and shutting the Mavericks down.
Each Dallas player was forced to take desperate shots as the clock wound down.
The Mavericks got sloppy and looked awful and it was all due to the Suns putting the pressure on them.
Phoenix is hoping they can do this all over again in a couple of days for Game 6.
If they follow this recipe for success one more time, they are heading to the Western Conference Finals and the Mavericks are heading home.
