It has been an interesting NFL offseason, to say the least, for the Baltimore Ravens, with the team dealing with an arduous negotiation process with superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, which almost derailed the team’s immediate future entirely.
Fortunately, after a lot of speculation and seemingly endless contract talks, the Ravens finally convinced Jackson to sign on the dotted line, setting up what could be an entertaining five years in Baltimore.
Along with keeping Jackson under center as the face of the franchise for the next half-decade, the team was also able to sign superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and draft one of the most talented wideouts in the 2023 NFL Draft in Zay Flowers out of Boston College.
These additions will be a scary sight for opposing defenses and make the Ravens potentially one of the best offenses in the NFL, but former NFL star Steve Smith Sr. isn’t convinced just yet via NFL Total Access.

Smith is going with the pessimistic approach, and that’s not a terrible stance to have, with many questions still yet to be answered in Baltimore before dubbing the team as an elite offense in 2023.
First of all, Jackson’s health is a big concern as he struggled to stay healthy over the last two years, and the same can be said for Odell Beckham Jr., who missed all of last season due to a torn ACL he suffered in the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.
Along with those two question marks, there’s no telling whether Flowers is the real deal, as he’ll have much to prove in 2023.
The jury is still out on this one, but the potential is there for Baltimore’s offense to shine.
