As the MLB lockout stretches into its 98th day, the two negotiating parties continue to try and hash things out and get a new CBA signed to end what is already the longest lockout in the history of the sport.
The owners have been largely to blame for this work stoppage, as they are the ones who initiated the lockout in the first place when the last CBA expired.
However, it appears that not all of the owners involved in Major League Baseball are super greedy like many have come to believe.
It turns out Steve Cohen, owner of the New York Mets, may just be the exception to the rule.
Baseball needs more owners that sound like Mr. Cohen. https://t.co/9ixIWIMduR

The Ideal Owner
For the longest time, we have seen owners who are openly tanking and not trying to win or even invest in their product.
Cohen on the other hand, is the complete opposite, and seems to be completely fine with the increase in the luxury tax threshold that has been proposed.
Cohen wants to invest in the Mets.
Not only that, but he wants to win.
He has high goals set, and his mind is set on winning a World Series, which is the mindset all owners should have.
This makes him the ideal owner for fans and players alike.
Owners who want to win and are willing to spend are the ones that deserve our respect.
Cohen has shown that he cares about Mets fans and understands that they have high expectations.
More than anything, he wants to meet and exceed those lofty expectations.
Baseball needs more owners like Cohen, who want to win and care about investing in their product for both the short-term and the long-term.
