When NBA fans talk about the greatest player of all time, they mention multiple stars including Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Larry Bird, and more.
But despite his amazing success, Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs isn’t often mentioned when people discuss the GOAT.
Stephen Jackson thinks that should change.
On the latest episode of “The Big Podcast”, via Legion Hoops, Jackson said he deserves his praise.
“He’s definitely on my [list]. I mean how could he not be?… He should be in the top five of best of all time,” Jackson said about Duncan.

Duncan, also known as “The Big Fundamental” and “Old Man Riverwalk”, did so much for the Spurs during his 19 years in the league.
He played for only one team, which is a stunning accomplishment by itself, and his numbers were very strong.
He averaged a double-double for his career, putting up 19 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
Duncan claimed five championships with the Spurs and was named Rookie of the Year, MVP twice, Finals MVP three times, and also earned 15 All-Star appearances.
Because of his impressive work in the league and all he did for the Spurs, Duncan is now a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and the Hall of Fame.
Jackson spent a few years playing with Duncan and the Spurs, and he saw his immense power up close.
That obviously had quite an impact on him and he is defending Duncan all these years later.
Duncan was an NBA superstar, but a quiet one who wasn’t as flashy as some of his peers.
Perhaps that is why Duncan doesn’t get the sort of praise that Jackson and others think he deserves.
