One of the more controversial figures in the NBA, if not all of professional sports these days, is superstar guard Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks, who is never afraid to express his opinions on any topic, no matter how ridiculous it may be.
With Irving being so vocal over the years and being very defensive when questioned about his opinions and beliefs, he was bound to butt heads with members of the media, and he did just that with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.
In a recent appearance on “Podcast P with Paul George,” Smith opened up about his longstanding beef with Irving and how it’s about something that no one knows about and nor should they, in his opinion.
Much like Irving, Smith doesn’t back down from anyone and always expresses his opinion on things that he feels need to be addressed, which seems to have happened more often than not over the last few years.
This seems to be more of a personal beef between two stubborn guys, with neither willing to make amends and both being content with that fact.
With Smith and Irving not going anywhere anytime soon, there’s a chance this beef could get resolved in the coming years, as anything can change over time.
However, Smith seems pretty adamant about the two not seeing eye to eye and that he doesn’t see that changing in the near future or potentially ever, and he thinks that might be the way to go with the relationship likely being unrepairable.
