“Everywhere you look, things are looking bleak for the Golden State Warriors.”
That is what Stephen A. Smith said about the defending champions on Tuesday morning after a tough loss against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Calling them “the discombobulated, undisciplined, just dysfunctional-looking Golden State Warriors,” Smith listed some of the many problems they had on Monday night.
He cited judgment calls from head coach Steve Kerr, bad shots from Klay Thompson, the zero output from Jordan Poole, and rough turnovers from Stephen Curry as the big reasons why the Lakers secured a 3-1 series lead.
"The discombobulated, undisciplined, just dysfunctional-looking Golden State Warriors. The reigning, defending NBA champions. … I don't know what the hell is going on with [Klay Thompson]. … A virtual no-show."

However, as badly as the Warriors performed, Smith noted that it isn’t over yet.
If any team can come back from a 3-1 deficit, it would be this one.
But they won’t be able to do it if they perform as they did on Monday.
Curry scored a triple-double with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists but Thompson was severely lacking with just 9 points and a pair of questionable three-point attempts in the last quarter.
And Poole had zero points for the night, going 0-from-4 from the field and missing both of his three-point attempts.
The Warriors kept it close all game but their final quarter was there they fell apart.
They seemed shocked and caught off guard by the powerful showing from Lonnie Walker IV of the Lakers and they couldn’t get around LA’s defense either.
In the end, they were attempting desperate plays that had them making serious mistakes.
They certainly were looking dysfunctional and they will need to figure out how to get back on track quickly.
The Warriors’ backs are now against the wall and they need to win every game moving forward or else their season will be over.
