The Golden State Warriors haven’t looked like their usual selves this season.
Even in this series versus the Los Angeles Lakers, it seems like they just cannot run away with games the way they used to do back in the day.
More than that, the Warriors haven’t been able to execute properly down the stretch, something that had rarely been an issue with them in the past, if ever.
That’s why ESPN’s Brian Windhorst was furious and in disbelief after watching them struggle to get anything going late in Game 4.

Windhorst pointed out several mental mistakes and meltdowns the Warriors had down the stretch, including Stephen Curry not taking Anthony Davis in isolation, and Klay Thompson taking two highly-questionable shots.
The Warriors had a chance to beat the Lakers but couldn’t keep their foot on the gas.
They were up eight midway through the fourth quarter, just to let Lonnie Walker IV take over and get his team back on top.
Notably, this isn’t the first time they have fallen to a 3-1 hole.
They already overcame this deficit in the past to beat Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
But their body language seems way off this time around, and they’re not as young as they used to be, so it might not happen this time.
We know better than to count this team out after all they’ve done in this league, but they just don’t look like the same dominant force they were in their heyday.
