The Golden State Warriors had to deal a crushing blow during their March 7 game against the Chicago Bulls.
On one hand, the Warriors ended up suffering a defeat during their quest to get a top-six seed in the Western Conference.
But a more pressing concern for the Warriors was Stephen Curry’s ankle injury.
Curry has been absent from the Warriors team since getting injured and it has led to many losing hope for a miraculous comeback late in the season.
However, Curry recently gave a positive update on his ankle injury ahead of the Warriors’ clash against the Los Angeles Lakers, via Mark Medina.
“I’ve been through all types of injuries and this one was one where there was a certain timeframe to let my ankle heal,” Curry said.

Curry is a phenomenal player, but he has dealt with significant ankle injuries during his time in the NBA.
As a result, an ankle injury at this stage in the career could prove devastating.
Keeping that in mind, Curry revealed that his current injury’s nature forces him to let it heal rather than push through it.
Curry understands it’s tough to miss games during this stage of the season.
But as he mentioned, it’s much better to have him miss a few games right now than play the postseason without him.
Moreover, there is no confirmation that the Dubs will make the 2024 playoffs right now.
As of now, they are the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 34-31 record.
If all goes well, the Warriors will finish in the same spot and earn a chance to make the playoffs by going through the NBA Play-In Tournament.
