For months, there have been persistent rumors that star wide receiver Stefon Diggs has a rift with the Buffalo Bills organization and that his days with the team are numbered.
There hasn’t been any true indication that Diggs is on his way out, nor have there been any substantial trade rumors involving him.
But on Friday, he caused a stir by posting a cryptic three-word tweet on his Twitter account.
“Ready for watever,” he wrote.
Ready for watever.

Diggs is the Bills’ biggest weapon, and he has collected over 1,100 receiving yards in each of the last five seasons while making four straight Pro Bowls.
In 2023, he caught 107 passes, which led to 1,183 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
The Bills played mediocre football through late November, but after that, they got hot and won five games in a row to end the regular season.
After easily getting past the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, they fell to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional round.
Tyler Bass’ missed field goal with 1:47 left that would’ve tied the game brought back some very painful memories of Scott Norwood’s missed field goal in Super Bowl XXV for longtime Bills fans.
Some have speculated that Diggs’ beef with the team has to do with quarterback Josh Allen, something Allen has denied every time it has come up.
As presently constituted, the Bills should have at least a puncher’s chance of getting to the AFC Championship Game in 2024, but if Diggs leaves, so would their chances of doing anything substantial in the postseason.
