Heading into this season’s playoffs, the Buffalo Bills seemed to be the most dangerous team in the NFL, as they ended the regular season with a five-game winning streak.
But their year ended in heartbreaking fashion in the divisional round at the hands of the eventual AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs.
All of a sudden, the Bills’ future is murky, and the one player whose future seems to be the murkiest is star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
There are rumors they may trade him, and he told Kay Adams on “Up & Adams” that he’s “prepared” for the offseason.
“However it goes…I’m prepared,” Diggs said.

Diggs is arguably one of the five best wideouts in pro football, and he was named to the Pro Bowl for the fourth straight year while putting up 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns.
There have also been rumors that he has been unhappy about his role on the team and that he may have a rift with quarterback Josh Allen, but he insisted to Adams that Allen is still like family to him.
The cap hit of Diggs’ contract will jump dramatically for the 2024 season, however, if Buffalo is to trade him, they would incur a dead cap hit of $31 million.
If Diggs has no problem with Allen or the Bills organization, the mere idea of trading him doesn’t make sense, as the Bills, at least on paper, seem to have a championship-caliber roster.
They were hit by injuries this season, especially on defense, as linebacker Matt Milano only played five games, and one has to think a healthy Bills squad could win more than the 11 games they won this regular season.
