We aren’t sure where Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat will be next season.
His name has been repeatedly tossed around as a possible trade asset in order for the Heat to acquire Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers.
However, the Blazers are allegedly not very fond of Miami’s offer so, as of now, Herro remains in Miami.
That might not be such a bad thing for the Heat.
According to StatMuse, Herro had an impressive stat line last season.
He averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists with a 37.8% three-point percentage and 93.4% free-throw percentage.
That means he joins Larry Bird as the only other player to average 20+ points on that high of a free-throw percentage over the last 40 seasons.

Last season was Herro’s fourth and it was filled with some great – and disappointing – moments.
Obviously, he was creating a lot of help for his Heat throughout the regular season.
But an unfortunate injury cost him his time in the playoffs.
He was hurt right at the start of the postseason and had to sit on the sidelines as he watched the Heat beat the odds and multiple other teams on their way to the Finals.
In the end, they weren’t able to overcome the eventual champions, the Denver Nuggets.
Fans have been wondering how different things could have been if Herro was healthy.
Will those fans ever see Herro in a Heat jersey again?
Because of his skills and his youth, Herro is a prime trade chip.
And as much as Miami likes him, they are allegedly willing to trade him away if the right deal comes along.
His numbers from last year are a reason why Herro is so helpful for the Heat but also why he might be leaving them.
