On Saturday, the Texas Rangers continued their run of success as they dispatched the Oakland Athletics by a final score of 5-0.
Leading the way for the first-place Rangers was veteran right-hander Jon Gray.
After Texas had fallen short on Friday, the team was in need of a strong start from Gray.
The 31-year-old delivered, taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning and ultimately making it through eight innings as he carved up a gem against the A’s.
On Twitter, Fox Sports MLB posted a graphic featuring Gray’s numbers from Saturday afternoon’s tilt, highlighting just how dominant the veteran right-hander was against the struggling A’s.

Gray ultimately made it through eight shutout innings on Saturday.
The 31-year-old also recorded five strikeouts, allowed just three hits, and walked only two batters.
With the Los Angeles Angels falling short against the Cleveland Guardians, the win allowed the Rangers to extend their lead in the American League West division by 3.5 games over the Halos and four over the defending World Series champion Houston Astros, who also lost on Saturday.
The Rangers now own the third-best record in the American League.
The starting rotation was a point of emphasis for the Rangers entering the offseason.
Gray had been signed before the 2022 season, but the team addressed their holes by adding Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi, Andrew Heaney, and Jake Odorizzi.
Jacob deGrom is currently dealing with an elbow issue, but Gray stepped up for the Rangers on Saturday after a tough loss in the previous game.
