Basketball is a team sport, and the Denver Nuggets are the true definition of a team.
Of course, everybody talks about Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, and rightfully so, but they’ve got a plethora of hoopers that can get hot on any given night.
That was evident again during Friday night’s win over the Miami Heat when Bruce Brown and Aaron Gordon combined for a whopping 48 points.

They took the intensity up a notch in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, as they had combined for an average of 21.7 points per game throughout the first three games of the series, but they definitely wanted to make a statement before leaving South Beach.
Jokic had ‘just’ 23 points, Murray scored 15, and Erik Spoelstra’s team would take that any day of the week.
But that’s what’s special about the Denver Nuggets.
They don’t rely upon their two stars, and they just have too many guys who can hurt you in so many different ways.
Their starting lineup is stacked with talent and all five guys can get hot on any given night.
They can cut, slash, get hot from deep, and their offense just feeds off their defense.
The Nuggets haven’t gotten this far this season out of pure luck or as a coincidence.
They knocked down some very good teams to get to the point they are right now.
And barring a major disaster, these kinds of contributions will lead them to the very first championship in the history of the franchise, which is now just one win away.
