The Denver Nuggets are just 48 minutes of basketball away from their first championship ever.
Winning a ring would only cement Nikola Jokic’s case as one of the greatest big men in the history of the game and add to his first-ballot Hall of Famer résumé, which is pretty big already.
But as great and dominant as he’s been throughout his career, Jokic is a human being first and foremost, and one that always keeps his family as his No. 1 priority.

That showed again following his huge win in Game 4 over the Miami Heat, as he had a heartwarming moment with his family.
Jokic is pretty close to his brothers, and he wears his wedding ring on his sneakers in every game as a reminder of him having a family waiting for him at home.
He also points at his finger after big plays, not as a way to taunt his rivals, but as a gesture towards his baby daughter, citing that it’s a move from a song they usually sing together.
NBA players are just like the rest of us, and they also have hopes, dreams, fears, and motivations.
They just happen to be way bigger, wealthier, and better at basketball.
Jokic is perhaps the most down to Earth and humble superstar in today’s game, and it’ll be hard to find someone who’s not happy for him after watching him lead his team to the biggest stage.
