Bill Belichick is shedding the narrative that Tom Brady carried him and the New England Patriots for two decades.
In fact, Belichick has made it clear he can win under just about any set of circumstances.
Monday night was a unique example as the Patriots headed east to take on the Buffalo Bills.
The weather was miserable and the Bills embrace such conditions on their home turf.
Yet it was Belichick who outsmarted everyone else by only throwing three times en route to a 14-10 victory.
Keeping with tradition, his Patriots once again beat the Bills.
But the latest victory on the road in Buffalo has Belichick approaching NFL history.

Belichick is now 19-3 on the road against the Bills, which is an absurd mark.
That is only one away from George Halas’ NFL record of 20 wins against the Green Bay Packers.
Winning on the road is no easy task in the NFL.
But like with just about any other trend out there, Belichick is an exception to the rule.
Total Dominance In Buffalo
Belichick began his head coaching career with the Cleveland Browns from 1991-1995.
His tenure in New England began in 2000 and since then his Patriots have dominated the Bills.
In general, the Patriots have dominated the entire AFC East since 2001.
They have won all but three AFC East titles since then and two came without Brady on the field in New England.
The Bills won the division last year for the first time since 1995 and hopes were high heading into this season.
The division crown seemed wrapped up early, but the Patriots have now won seven games in a row and sit atop the AFC standings.

For Buffalo to advance to that next tier, they need to overcome Belichick and the Patriots.
Not even being able to beat New England in Buffalo is a sign that the Patriots may still own the AFC East for quite some time.
Mac Jones is only a rookie as a new era of Patriots football has begun.
Belichick can easily set the NFL record with 21 road wins over the Bills before he retires if Buffalo cannot beat him with all the talent on their team this year.
