With the NBA trade deadline coming and going earlier this month without any major movement taking place around the league, potential playoff teams will now look to the buyout market in order to bolster their rosters ahead of the NBA playoffs.
Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers made a substantial move by adding veteran guard Spencer Dinwiddie to their roster in an effort to help clinch a playoff spot in a highly competitive Western Conference.
The next big-name player that will hit the open market appears to be veteran forward Marcus Morris who has been bought out by the San Antonio Spurs recently, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Although Morris is no longer the kind of role player he used to be in the NBA, the veteran forward can still be a valuable piece to a title contender in the league, as he can still be a force to be reckoned with from beyond the arc.
In 37 games he played for the Philadelphia 76ers this season, Morris averaged 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 43.9% from the floor and 40% from distance.
Once Morris officially becomes a free agent and is able to sign with whatever team he wants, there will likely be no shortage of interest in his services, as he will instantly upgrade a roster for a title-contending squad in either conference.
During his extensive playing career in the NBA, Morris has played for several different teams, including the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and 76ers.
