They used to be teammates but now Spencer Dinwiddie of the Brooklyn Nets and Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards are enemies.
What started as a Twitter beef months ago has become the talk of the NBA world and it seems like it’s only heating up.
Back in January, Dinwiddie was still on the Dallas Mavericks and was defeated by Kuzma and his Wizards.
Following the loss, Dinwiddie talked some trash about the way the Wizards play the game.
Kuzma shot back after that, saying, “The funny thing is they don’t play winning basketball.”
That seemed to be the end of it but the spat came back to life this week when Dinwiddie made a dig at Kuzma and was met with a strong response.
“At the end of the day, I spoke truth and I got rebutted with 10 year old insults,” Dinwiddie said about Kuzma’s reply to his latest comments, according to writer Brian Lewis, via NBACentral.

While appearing on TV this week, Dinwiddie went all in on Kuzma and critiqued his game and his standing in the league.
That led to a harsh response from Kuzma, ensuring that this rivalry is here to stay.
Arguments between two players in the league aren’t new but it rarely gets as nasty as this one.
It’s especially intriguing since these two men used to play together and now hold bitter views about one another.
Kuzma’s team is out of the playoffs while Dinwiddie’s is about to make a postseason run.
Therefore, we won’t see these two square off against each other until next season.
