The Brooklyn Nets have been through one difficult season but they are now ready to fight hard in the playoffs.
Their first opponent in the opening round of the games will be Joel Embiid and his Philadelphia 76ers.
Beating them will be a tough task for the Nets and it’ll also be a special badge of honor for one Brooklyn player.
Mikal Bridges, who has been so wonderful in Brooklyn, was actually drafted by the Sixers back in 2018 but he never played a game for them.
Instead, the Philly native was sent to the Phoenix Suns, where he established himself and became a player to watch.
Speaking with Stephen A. Smith, Bridges touched upon his assumed beef with the 76ers.
In reality, it sounds like there is hardly any beef at all.
He admitted that he was “upset and pissed off for a pretty long time” about how it all went down but also said that he wouldn’t be where he is now if it weren’t for his time in Phoenix.
“It’s actually probably one of the best things that happened to me,” Bridges said.

Bridges was certainly an exciting up-and-coming star when he was playing for the Suns.
But he is getting way more attention now.
Since coming to the Nets back in February, Bridges has had several remarkable games.
He has become one of the biggest stars in Brooklyn.
He is averaging 26.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists and is shooting 47.5% from the field.
The Nets are in a tough spot right now and are attempting to figure out what’s next for them.
Now that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are gone, the team has to decide who will lead them into the future.
Will the front office package together and trade multiple players in hopes of landing another All-Star?
Or will they instead hand over the keys to the franchise to Bridges?
