The Green Bay Packers recently made a tough decision.
They released Aaron Jones and replaced him with Josh Jacobs.
According to reports, the Packers tried to get Jones to take a 50% pay cut, to which he declined.
So, they quickly pivoted and pursued the former Las Vegas Raiders star, who’s also three years younger.
While this could be a great move for the team from a football perspective, NFL analyst Skip Bayless believes it could come back to haunt them.
Talking on Undisputed, Bayless stated that the Packers will miss his production, pointing out how incredible he was in the final stretch of the season.
“His teammates believed in him. They’re going to miss his tangibles and intangibles,” Bayless said.

More than that, he thinks the team will miss his veteran leadership in the locker room, as he was a respected and beloved voice within it’s confines.
He thinks they’ll miss his tangibles and his intangibles.
That makes perfect sense.
The veteran running back had spent his entire career at Lambeau Field, and he was one of the locker room leaders en route to the playoffs last season.
One could make a case for Jacobs being a better player and making more sense for them because of his age, and that would be valid.
He’s also known for being a solid locker-room guy, so it’s not like they’re replacing him with a toxic character.
Then again, one can’t help but feel like the Packers did wrong by one of the best running backs in franchise history, and the fans will hope they don’t come to regret that decision.
