The Los Angeles Chargers got the 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos on Thursday night in comeback fashion.
Down 11 points in the second half, head coach Jim Harbaugh, quarterback Justin Herbert, and Co. found a way to fight back and emerge victorious.
With the Bolts now sitting at a record of 9-6 and in firm playoff positioning in the AFC, some, like Fox Sports’s Skip Bayless, believe that Harbaugh should be the NFL Coach of the Year this season.
“How can he not be Coach of the Year? The 9-6 Chargers won 5 games last year,” Bayless wrote Thursday night on social media.
WAY TO GO, CHARGERS, WHO NOW HAVE A 97% CHANCE OF DOING WHAT I PREDICTED THEY WOULD: MAKE THE PLAYOFFS IN JIM HARBAUGH'S FIRST YEAR. HOW CAN HE NOT BE COACH OF THE YEAR? THE 9-6 CHARGERS WON 5 GAMES LAST YEAR.

Bayless does make a pretty compelling case.
After the nightmare that former head coach Brandon Staley left the organization in, Harbaugh has come in and taken this team to new heights.
They are quietly one of the more underrated teams in football and have the chance to spoil the hopes of a lot of teams in the playoffs this year.
Herbert is playing smart, conservative football, and that combined with a good rushing attack and quality defense makes this Bolts team quite formidable.
Now, there are other head coaches in the league who also deserve to be named Coach of the Year.
The likes of Dan Campbell in Detroit, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, and even Nick Sirianni out in Philadelphia deserve to be in the running for the award.
Whoever ends up winning the award, assuming it isn’t Harbaugh, they better have an outstanding case for why they were given the award.
