Shohei Ohtani Sustained His Run Of Dominance On Wednesday

The Los Angeles Angels appear to be dead in the water in the postseason chase.

Their 14-game losing skid at the end of May appears to have taken them out of contention and left them with little hope of turning it around.

But for two-way star Shohei Ohtani, this season has been plenty of fun.

Ohtani took the mound for the Halos on Wednesday night against the Miami Marlins, hoping to help snap the Angels’ four-game skid.

He went seven innings and allowed just one unearned run as he earned his eighth win of the year and lowered his ERA to 2.44.

MLB tweeted a graphic featuring Ohtani’s line from last night.

Enjoy The Sho

Ohtani has yet to allow an earned run over his past four starts.

This run of dominance continued last night as he led the Halos to a 5-2 victory at loanDepot park in Miami, which put an end to their four-game losing streak.

He even picked up a hit and drove in two runs, those being the runs that ultimately made the difference in the game as they took a 3-1 lead and never looked back.

The Angels roster is still full of talent, but for now, they don’t appear to have much hope of regaining their traction and getting back into the postseason race.

But Ohtani gave them and their fans a reason to be hopeful last night, as he gave them a strong, seven-inning performance against a team that had won six games in a row.

We’ll see if that’ll be enough to reverse the Angels’ fortunes.

It doesn’t look good, but at least Ohtani showed up when the Halos needed him the most.
