Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani has the entire league eagerly waiting for his decision regarding his future.
Sure, that decision is still a season away, but the question remains: where will he play from 2024 on?
We know that the Angels hold his rights for the 2023 campaign.
After that, he will be free to sign wherever he wants, with everything that means and represents.
That’s if he is not extended by the Angels first.
Additionally, LA could trade him prior to the deadline and he could feasibly sign an extension with the new team, too.
Anything can happen.
What we do know is that Ohtani will sign the biggest contract in MLB, in all likelihood.
His pact, no matter which teams signs him, will probably surpass $500 million because he is a player with unique skills.
He just signed a contract…just not the one you are probably thinking.
He's unlike anything you've ever seen. And now he wears New Balance.

Sports apparel company New Balance welcomes Ohtani as their new star member.
It’s quite incredible news for the footwear brand, one of the most recognizable in America.
They will now be represented by Ohtani, the charismatic Superman of MLB who can do it all on a baseball field.
Ohtani has hit 80 homers in the last two seasons, with ERA finishes of 3.18 and 2.33 in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
He boasts a 100-mph fastball, a deadly splitter, and a quality slider as a pitcher, and one of the most powerful left-handed swings in baseball as a hitter.
He is now the proud member of the New Balance family.
