The New York Jets lost their most important piece just four plays into the season.
Aaron Rodgers will be out with an Achilles injury, leaving the team back to where they were last season when they failed to make the playoffs.
HC Robert Saleh has turned back to Zach Wilson, and he made it clear that he plans to go with the BYU product as a starter for the time being.
Nonetheless, we’ve seen more than enough of him already to realize that he’s not going to do a lot to help their winning cause, especially considering he was the main reason why they didn’t make the playoffs last season.
With that in mind, Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe claims the Jets should call Tom Brady to try and get him back on the field right now (via ClutchPoints).
"I'm calling Tom Brady… We got $25 million on the table for you. Can you come give us something?"

Sharpe doesn’t want to hear anything about Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, or Matt Ryan.
He believes the Jets should offer Brady $25 million to get him to come back.
Then again, this just doesn’t seem likely at this point.
As tempting as $25 million could be, Brady has already made it loud and clear that he has no intention whatsoever of getting hit again, and the Jets’ offensive line isn’t the best.
The Jets could go after another veteran via trade or free agency, but the chances of getting Brady back on the gridiron after his second retirement seem quite slim, not to mention how that could impact Aaron Rodgers’ relationship with the organization.NEXT: Jerry Jones Makes His Thoughts Clear On Jets Ahead Of Matchup
