The Boston Celtics have been inconsistent this season, which is why some fans thought their season would be over with their Game 6 trip to Philadelphia.
But even though Jayson Tatum failed to make an impact early in the game, the team still managed to rally and force their way back to Boston for Game 7.
That’s why Shannon Sharpe believes there’s no way the Celtics don’t make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Sharpe pointed out the way the Celtics have been able to limit Joel Embiid’s free-throw attempts, and he just thinks they’re the better team and in a favorable position.
The Sixers have a long history of underperforming when it matters the most, and it’s been quite a while since they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Celtics were there just last season, and they have the playoff experience to close this series out in front of their home crowd.
Ironically, they’ve been better on the road than at home during the playoffs, with the Sixers taking two games from them at the TD Garden.
They’ll need a better, more consistent effort from Tatum on the offensive end of the floor, but they’ve been mostly efficient on defense to try and contain the Sixers’ stars.
The Celtics should be favored in a potential ECF series over both the New York Knicks and Miami Heat, and one could make a case for them being better or deeper than all teams in the West as well, but you never know what version of them you’ll get.
