The NFL just had it’s annual meeting, a well-documented event by fans and analysts.
In a time in the offseason where news can become somewhat stale, this meeting can provide some additional information to keep fans going until the NFL Draft starts.
A notable part of this event is the annual coaches’ picture, in which all 32 head coaches get together for a group photo.
This photo is often used by fans to test their knowledge of the names of all these coaches, trying to match them to a particular team.
This year’s photo was without a familiar face, as reporter Mike Reiss highlighted in a follow-up tweet.
As Reiss indicated, Bill Belichick’s presence was missed, as he was a staple of the league for many years.
Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott agreed, saying, “He’s made the league better; he’s made us better as coaches; he’ll be missed.”

Even though Belichick was a rival for McDermott and the Bills, it is clear that his presence will be missed in the NFL.
Belichick is often viewed as the gold standard for NFL coaching, someone that many current coaches look up to and admire.
What he was able to do with the Patriots throughout his tenure will be a case study by coaches for the foreseeable future.
The Patriots created a dynasty under Tom Brady and Belichick, one that will be tough to repeat by another team in league history.
McDermott and Josh Allen hope to cultivate a similar relationship, and they hope the Bills can finally win a Super Bowl.
