The Seattle Seahawks seem to have found their groove as they picked up their second consecutive win of the 2023 NFL season.
The Seahawks hosted the Carolina Panthers for Week 3 and won, 37-27, showing that any early concerns were just misplaced.
Carolina was without rookie starting quarterback Bryce Young, but his replacement Andy Dalton proved to be a handful as he was able to exploit Seattle’s secondary for 361 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Dalton is one of the better backups in the league, but his performance against the Seahawks should illustrate how vulnerable the back half of their defense is.
Seattle’s got some promising young defensive backs they’re high on, but their inability to keep receivers blanketed should be concerning for Pete Carroll.
However, the unit should be getting a huge boost next week as Jamal Adams is finally set to make his return, via NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Breaking: #Seahawks safety Jamal Adams tells me he will make his return next Monday night, Week 4, vs the #Giants.
Adam tore his quad in Week 1 of last season and has not played since.

Adams’ injury was a major setback for Seattle, who could’ve used the safety to reinforce the backline, but his return is coming at a good time as they’re set to hit the road for the next two weeks.
A torn quad is a serious injury, so Carroll and the coaching staff will likely keep him on a snap count as he works his way back to full health.
Still, his presence should be a net positive for the Seahawks who have missed his physicality at both the line of scrimmage and in the secondary.
The New York Giants are struggling to find their way after being hit with their own injuries, so Adams and Seattle are in a good spot to pick up their third win of the season.
