If the Seattle Seahawks are going to come away with a win in their Week 3 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, then they’re probably going to need the help of star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf.
Metcalf has been dealing with some injured ribs, so there was some concern that he might not be able to suit up for Sunday’s contest with the Panthers.
However, it sounds like Seahawks fans can feel some relief, as NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport revealed on Sunday morning that the team’s top wide receiver is expected to suit up against Carolina.

After getting a win in a thrilling contest against the Detroit Lions last week, Seattle and Metcalf will be looking to improve their record to 2-1 when they take on the Panthers.
The chances of this happening for the Seahawks on Sunday seem pretty good, as they’ll be facing a Carolina team that is still looking for their first victory of the 2023 season.
The Panthers began their 2023 schedule with a 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, and then last Monday, they suffered a three-point loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Something will be significantly different for Carolina on Sunday, though, as veteran quarterback Andy Dalton will be starting under center in place of an injured Bryce Young.
Some might view this as a step backward for the Panthers, but Young has struggled so far this season, and Dalton might be able to provide the offense with reliability, given his experience.
The Week 3 matchup between Seattle and Carolina is scheduled to kick off at 4:05 p.m. EST from inside the Seahawks’ home stadium, Lumen Field.
