The Seattle Seahawks were able to get off to a good start to the 2024 NFL regular season, as they were able to get the best of the visiting Denver Broncos.
Although the Week 1 game wasn’t pretty by any means, as both teams struggled at times to put it all together, especially on offense, the Seahawks prevailed, thanks to running back Kenneth Walker III playing well despite suffering an oblique injury.
Walker finished with a game-high 103 yards rushing and one touchdown while adding two receptions on three targets for 6 receiving yards.
Even though Walker did better than expected while dealing with an injury that could’ve kept him sidelined, the 23-year-old might end up watching from the sideline in Week 2 when the Seahawks take on the New England Patriots on the road.
Walker is listed as “doubtful to play,” according to Field Yates of ESPN.

Even though the Patriots aren’t expected to be a force to be reckoned with this season, New England is coming off arguably the biggest upset of Week 1, as they defeated Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals on the road.
The Pats will look to keep the momentum going under new head coach Jerod Mayo, and their chances of getting a second straight win will improve if Walker cannot play.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks will turn to backup running back Zach Charbonnet under their first-year head coach Mike Macdonald.
