After missing the NFL playoffs last season, the Seattle Seahawks went through a drastic change in the offseason, with longtime head coach Pete Carroll assuming a different role with the franchise and leaving a vacancy on the sideline.
Ultimately, the team decided to hire Mike Macdonald as Carroll’s successor, and after Week 1, the new leadership is trending in the right direction.
The Seahawks played host to the visiting Denver Broncos for Macdonald’s debut, and although they were able to come out on top in Week 1, Seattle got a bit banged up with a few players dealing with injuries.
According to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times, linebacker Uchenna Nwosu has already been ruled out for Week 2, while star running back Kenneth Walker III and right tackle George Fant are considered day to day.
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald says Uchenna Nwosu will not play this week. Says Kenneth Walker III and George Fant are day to day for now, will see how they are this week.

The biggest concerns are Walker’s health, which is affected by an injury to his abdomen, and the status of Fant, who suffered a knee injury and left the game against the Broncos in the first quarter.
In Week 2, the Seahawks will play their first road game, visiting the better-than-expected New England Patriots, which could be a tougher matchup than anticipated after Jacoby Brissett and company pulled off arguably the biggest upset of Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
If the Seahawks don’t have Walker and Fant helping the offense in New England, there’s a chance for a disappointing outcome this weekend.
