The epic frenzy that is MLB free agency will get going today at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
Players such as Aaron Judge, Trea Turner, Xander Bogaerts, Carlos Rodon, Carlos Correa, and Jacob deGrom headline a stacked free agent class for the 2022-2023 offseason.
Many free agents are clients of the one and only Scott Boras, who is known for his ability to help his clients get the best deals possible in free agency.
Yesterday, Boras spoke to the media and summed up the free agent market this year, but gave an interesting take, saying that it was a “carnivores market.”
Boras added that the free agent menu features more “filet mignon and wagyu and less hamburger and vegan.”

Boras Offers Wild Take On Free Agency
Boras certainly knows a stacked free agent class when he sees one, so he understands that the market is full of great options for teams looking to improve their rosters.
The shortstop market is probably the most intriguing one this offseason, as it features names such as Correa, Turner, Bogaerts, and Dansby Swanson, all of whom will pique the interest of teams looking to spend some money.
Of course, the outfield and designated hitter markets are interesting ones too.
Those markets feature names such as Judge, J.D. Martinez, Trey Mancini, Brandon Nimmo, Joc Pederson, and Andrew Benintendi.
So, when fans look at the free agent market as a whole, they’ll be able to understand what Boras means when he calls it a “carnivores market.”
The madness begins in just a few hours.
