Just a couple of days ago, 58 young hoopers fulfilled their dreams of making it to the NBA.
And while most of them are confident enough in their game to know they can thrive in the most competitive basketball league on Earth, they can still be starstruck in the presence of another star.
That seemed to be the case with Scoot Henderson, who seemed hesitant — and lowkey scared — to FaceTime Stephen Curry as a part of a challenge during draft night.
The interviewer asked Henderson who was the most famous contact on his phone, and he named Steph, but he later backpedaled and chose Stranger Things’ Caleb McLaughlin instead.

Notably, Henderson has been a part of the basketball scene for quite a while now, and he’s made a name for himself among his now-colleagues.
His time with the G-League Ignite was rather impressive, and there was absolutely no doubt that he could go on to become a generational player at the next level.
Henderson also looked quite confident when talking about his game, constantly citing that he knew he should’ve been the No. 1 pick, even ahead of the likes of Victor Wembanyama.
Now, being the No. 3 pick, he’ll have to play with a huge chip on his shoulder to prove that he was the best player in that class all along, and going against Stephen Curry and the rest of the elite point guards in the game will give him a perfect opportunity to do that, so he better not be scared.
