The Golden State Warriors made it clear that they’re committed to doing whatever it takes to get Draymond Green locked in for the future.
They moved on from Jordan Poole — who clearly didn’t get along with him — and cleared plenty of cap space for the future.
And according to NBA insider Jason Dumas, their former Defensive Player of the Year is looking forward to signing a contract extension that lines up with Stephen Curry’s contract, meaning he could sign a 3-year extension with the organization.
I’ve been told Draymond is seeking a contract that lines up with Steph’s in terms of length.
Look for a three year extension.

Notably, some were quite concerned about Green’s decision for his future.
He declined his player option to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career, so he could sign with another team.
Nonetheless, he was always expected to be back in the Bay area, and, barring a major turn of events, it seems like that’s still going to be the case.
The Warriors have found quite the success in spending big bucks to keep their core together, and things won’t be any different this time around, even with the new CBA.
Green has taken multiple team-friendly deals and has made less than $200 million in his NBA career, so it’s about time they do right by him and sign him to a $30+ million deal, which will more than likely be the last lucrative and long-term deal he’ll ever sign.
The Warriors cannot afford to be without Green and they know it, so we expect these negotiations and story to be rather short.
