The New York Giants are glad to have running back Saquon Barkley under contract.
Things looked murky between the two sides earlier in the offseason about his contract situation.
But, both sides were able to get a deal done with Barkley getting a one-year extension for more than the franchise tag would pay him.
Now the Giants hope that Barkley can continue to lead their offense and take the pressure off quarterback Daniel Jones.
Barkley is the type of player that is always looking to get better.
He is willing to learn from all types of running backs that have come before him.
That is why seeing him talking with legendary running back Marshawn Lynch in training camp is no surprise, as the Giants shared on Twitter.

Lynch was one of the best running backs of his generation and he is someone a lot of current players should look up to.
He was a five-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion.
Not to mention, he was a fierce runner that would rarely go down on first contact.
Barkley tries to play in a very similar way.
It will be interesting to see what the Giants do for an encore this season.
After making the playoffs last year and winning a playoff game, the expectations for them are sky-high.
Barkley is still playing on a one-year deal, so he wants to show he is worthy of a long-term contract.
If he can stay healthy there are no limits on what the 26-year-old running back can accomplish.
