The New Orleans Saints are going through some drastic changes this season, with the team hoping to right the ship in the post-Drew Brees era, with veteran Derek Carr coming in to lead this franchise under center.
Although the Saints have a chance to make some noise in the NFC South, arguably the worst division in the NFL right now, the team has already taken some costly blows to their chances of being a legitimate force to be reckoned with offensively.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Saints have lost running back Eno Benjamin for the season due to a torn Achilles.
Saints’ RB Eno Benjamin was diagnosed with a torn Achilles, per HC Dennis Allen.

The 24-year-old running back was coming off a rough year in which he bounced around the NFL quite a bit, with three different stops.
After short stints with the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans, Benjamin landed with the Saints and played in three games for New Orleans.
Now his second season with the Saints is over before it starts, which is not only painful for him but the team as well as with New Orleans learning that star running back Alvin Kamara will be suspended for the first three games of the 2023 NFL season.
Benjamin likely would’ve had a chance to compete for carries to start the season and make a name for himself, but now that the opportunity is gone, the Saints must figure out what to do moving forward.
Only time will tell if the Saints are the real deal with Carr in the fold, but losing Kamara and Benjamin will hurt to start the season.
