The New Orleans Saints will be without one of their biggest offensive weapons for the first three games of the new NFL season.
Running back Alvin Kamara, a five-time Pro Bowler, has been suspended for the first three contests for his role in a fight in Las Vegas last year.
He had been facing a felony charge as a result, but he agreed to a plea agreement that removed the possibility of being convicted of that felony charge, per Adam Schefter.

Some fans felt that a three-year suspension was too light a sentence for him.
Only 3 games is wild. Should move up in fantasy drafts a couple rounds

3 games for fighting but Jameson Williams gets 6 games for gambling when the NFL literally promotes gambling.

Last season was the first time Kamara wasn’t selected to the Pro Bowl since entering the league in the 2017 campaign.
He ran for 897 yards and added 490 yards in the air in 2022 for a Saints team that finished just 7-10.
This year, the Saints will have a big upgrade at quarterback in Derek Carr, a four-time Pro Bowler who comes from the Las Vegas Raiders.
In addition, wide receiver Michael Thomas, who has been riddled with injuries for the past three years, seems to be healthy, and fellow wideout Chris Olave is coming off a strong rookie season.
Thomas led the NFL in receiving yards in 2019, which was his last fully healthy season to date.
Many people are picking New Orleans to finish first in the NFC South, and luckily for them, they will have three relatively easy opponents for the three games that Kamara has to sit out.
In addition, they added running back Jamaal Williams, who had an NFL-high 17 rushing touchdowns last season, giving them plenty of depth at the position.
