Since coming to the Los Angeles Clippers, Russell Westbrook has seen his new team go 3-5 and settle into the sixth spot in the Western Conference.
While this has some people stating that Westbrook isn’t adding anything to the squad, others disagree.
In fact, Clippers player Terance Mann thinks that Westbrook brings a lot to the team.
Speaking to the press, Mann touched upon what Westbrook provides.
He said it’s the mental game that sets Westbrook apart, as shared below by Clippers reporter Joey Linn: “Just mentality-wise. He helps me big time with that. Just not worrying about the last play. That relentless mentality of the next play is your best play. And I appreciate that from him.”
Terance Mann was asked how Russell Westbrook has helped him.

It’s not surprising to hear other players praise Westbrook’s mentality and driven determination to play hard.
Even when he was performing at the worst of his abilities, Westbrook was still a dogged competitor.
There were times when he made serious mistakes and caused a few groans and complaints from fans but Westbrook is known for always giving 100% of himself during each game.
In some ways, Westbrook has gotten better since coming to the Clippers.
In other ways, he has gotten worse.
He is averaging 13.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 7.5 assists a game with the Clippers, which are all down a bit from his time with the Lakers.
But his field goal percentage is up and he is obviously having a strong impact on some of the young stars playing alongside him.
The Clippers will most likely get into the playoffs so it’ll be very fascinating to see what Westbrook can do in his big return to the postseason.
His last playoff appearance was in 2020-21 when he was still with the Washington Wizards.
