Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. has been on the mend since tearing his ACL last July.
As a result, he missed the Braves’ spectacular run to their first World Series title since 1995.
But Acuna is making his way back.
He is currently on a rehab assignment with the team’s Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers, and looks like he is getting closer and closer to finally returning and making his 2022 debut
Acuna laced a double off the right-center field wall in his at-bat in the top of the third inning on Tuesday, proving that there aren’t many hoops left for him to jump through before he can get going again.

Ready To Go
This is good news for the Braves, who look like a real threat to repeat as World Series champions in 2022 after acquiring Matt Olson and signing Kenley Jansen.
A healthy Acuna is a huge asset for the Braves and makes them that much more dangerous as they continue on their quest to repeat.
That can only spell trouble for the rest of Major League Baseball.
A lineup with Acuna, Olson, Austin Riley, Ozzie Albies, and Dansby Swanson is a dangerous one and one that no pitcher is going to want to face.
But if you’re the Braves, this is a good sign.
Seeing Acuna rehab well has to be encouraging.
He’s one of the top young players in all of baseball and is ready to come back and show the league that even an ACL injury won’t stop him as he tries to make history.
It won’t be too much longer before the defending champions can put their best lineup out on the field.
