The Atlanta Braves continue to operate like a well-oiled machine this season.
Many people thought they would be good coming into the season.
But, they have been playing at an elite level for almost the entire year.
Atlanta has a record of 53-27 on the year and sits seven games up in the NL East.
One player who has taken his game to another level this season is outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr.
He has been the best player in the NL all season long and is the favorite to bring home his first NL MVP trophy.
Acuna has shown off his five-tool ability all year long including making a run at a 40-homer, 70-steal season.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Acuna joined Joe Morgan as the only players with 50 RBI and 35 stolen bases before July.

Acuna has always been someone many projected for stardom.
But due to injuries over the past year, he has been unable to reach that level.
On the season, Acuna is hitting .331 with 19 home runs and 51 RBI.
Also, his 36 stolen bases are second in MLB.
Batting leadoff for the Braves, Acuna is the table-setter for this loaded offense.
To go along with all his impressive stats he also leads baseball in runs scored with 71.
With the roster the Braves have, anything short of an NLCS appearance should be considered a failure.
They are the best hitting team in baseball to go along with a pitching staff led by Spencer Strider.
No one should be surprised if the Braves are the last ones standing at season’s end.
