The Atlanta Braves continue to play great baseball and are the best team in the National League.
They are playing their best baseball of the season in June and have opened up a big lead in the NL East.
Sitting at 53-27, the Braves have a seven-game lead in the division and a five-game lead for the best record in the NL.
One of the many reasons for their success has been the play of Ronald Acuna Jr.
The star outfielder has always been seen as an MVP-caliber player but this season he is proving it.
Acuna is batting .331 with 19 home runs, 51 RBI, and 36 stolen bases.
Batting leadoff for the best hitting team in baseball also gives him the chance to score a bunch of runs.
The Braves have been the best team in MLB at scoring first-inning runs.
According to Bally Sports: Braves, Matt Olson attributes a lot of their first-inning success to Acuna.
"Ronald's on base most of the time. I don't know. It is a weird thing we are doing it so much but honestly the game starts with Ronald."

He leads baseball in runs scored with 71 and is on pace for a historic season.
Acuna has been an on-base king this season.
He has a .408 on-base percentage and once he gets on base he is looking to steal.
The Braves would not be in the place they are without the efforts of Acuna.
He makes things easy for the rest of their lineup and has shown no sign of slowing down.
Acuna is the favorite for NL MVP and with how this season is playing out he may win the award unanimously.
